Iyengar Yoga is a form of Hatha Yoga that emphasizes precision, detail and correct alignment of all parts of the body within each yoga pose. This precision builds flexibility, balance, strength and stamina. Achieving meditation in action, students learn to exist fully and vibrantly in the present moment.
During this workshop participants will be able to practice standing yoga poses of lyengar Yoga and learn about the health benefits of each yoga pose. Attendees will also learn and practice breathing techniques as well as learn about the health benefits of these techniques.
There will also be spiritual discourse for enrichment of the soul.
Valji Bagada began practicing yoga in 1984 and learned Iyengar Medical Yoga directly from the number one student of B.K.S. Iyengar. He is certified by the KARE Academy of Ayurvedic Studies to conduct Iyengar Medical Yoga Sessions and is one of the great mystics of the 20th century.
